The dermal fillers we carry are made of Hyalauronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar in the body that helps facilitate the skin’s ability to retain hydration. Hyalauronic acid fillers are body-safe clear gels that can help restore volume loss, and refine facial features when injected into the skin.

Our cosmetic nurse injector will use an anaesthetic to help make the procedure as comfortable as possible and will inject filler, often with multiple injections to produce the best results.

One week before your appointment:

• Avoid using Aspirin®, Advil®, ibuprofen, Motrin®, and Aleve®. (If absolutely necessary, you may use Tylenol®.)
• Avoid supplements that contain Omega 3.
• Avoid alcoholic beverages.
• Avoid dental procedures or cleanings for 2 weeks before.
• Avoid vaccinations for 2 weeks before.

 

48 hours before your appointment:

• Stop using anti-aging skincare which contains Tretinoin, Retinol, Retinoid, Glycolic Acid, or other exfoliators.
• Consider taking Arnica or Bromelain if you are prone to bruising.
• Do not wax, shave, pluck or use depilatory cream on the area to be treated.

 

Day of treatment:

• Arrive with your face washed, free of makeup.
• Please have something to eat and drink prior to arriving so you do not have an empty stomach.
